Meet Katia / Stavanger Fotograf

“You are crazy”, she said when I started photographing her last week. Turning her this way and that way, made her walk on a table, chin forward and down……And she repeated herself, smiling “you are crazy”! I wonder what she says now, when she opens this post. Still crazy? Meet Katia! A beautiful young woman from Stavanger. _MG_5574smallUntitled2Untitled1Untitled4Untitled5_MG_5691-small @www.tpauls.com

summer wedding / Stavanger Fotograf

This summer has been so beautiful. No doubt the weather has been great since May, a bit cool in the beginning but hardly any rain and the last ten days have been magnificent. Speaking to Norwegians they say: “This has never happened before.” So I am off to the beach soon. But before I go I would like to share a few images from a beautiful wedding this summer. It was an afternoon wedding at Stavanger Domkirke followed by the reception on Flor og Faere. The sun was out, a very bright day and a a little bit windy. The flower island was perfect for that. We could hide in the shade, away from the wind, amongst beautiful flora and fauna. It was so much fun to photograph the newlyweds. We were laughing all the time. And there was, of course, so much love.

Still in Love / Stavanger Fotograf

These are the grandparents of a little baby boy who I photographed a couple of weeks ago. They joined for the family portrait and when I saw them together I asked if I could snap a few of just them. There was so much love in the room. When I heard that this was the first professional photo they have had taken since their wedding day, 36 years ago, the image became even more meaningful to me.

My trip to Iceland / Stavanger Fotograf

Mid June this year I traveled to Iceland. Who knows me knows that I love the sun and temperatures over 25 degrees. When I moved to Norway I already surprised myself and now, vacation days in Iceland. It was my lovely friend, who I used to work with here in Norway, who encouraged me to visit. I prepared a little bit by reading about this island and was very much surprised about all the positiv stories. The travel day arrived and I was very excited.

Iceland didn’t disappoint. It was even warm, which is not usual, but better for me to enjoy. I had a great time exploring and spending time with my friend and her family who were amazing hosts. Will I go back? I think so!
